And here is the story that led to this big idea…
Our Story
Prairie Strategies was founded on a simple belief: remarkable things are possible when the right people come together. That belief was shaped through years of experience working with organizations of different sizes, from international nonprofits powered by volunteers across the globe to community organizations serving Manitobans in small urban centres. Across these experiences, one lesson became increasingly clear: an organization’s potential should not be determined by its size or resources, but by the people, knowledge, and support it can bring together. Yet too often, smaller organizations face the same complex challenges as larger institutions without access to the same expertise or capacity to address them.
Prairie Strategies was created to help bridge that gap. Our team brings together professionals with shared backgrounds in nonprofit leadership, finance, policy development, governance, and organizational management, united by a commitment to helping organizations succeed. Having worked within the very organizations we seek to support, we understand the pressures of limited budgets, competing priorities, and ambitious goals. We believe meaningful support should be accessible, personal, and grounded in an understanding of each organization’s circumstances. That’s why we offer practical, tailored solutions at genuinely affordable rates, helping small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofits overcome challenges, strengthen their operations, and focus on what matters most — the work they set out to do.
